European Parliament ENVI Committee has adopted its report on the European Commission's Directive proposal on the application of patients' rights in cross-border healthcare.
European Parliament's ENVI Committee has in fact adopted Mr. Bowis' report last Tuesday. Both the Socialist and the Green members of the Committee have abstained from voting thought, and their respective political group have decided not to support a directive proposal that does not give the same rights for everyone. The plenary is going to discuss Mr. Bowis 'report the 4th May. Most analysts believe at this stage that even though technically possible, an adoption without consensus between EP's political Groups could cause a lot of controversy.
