EPF’s objective is to ensure that the voice of
European patients is not only heard but respected and acted upon at
European level. Current EPF activities focus on patient safety, patient
information, education about diseases, disease prevention and
treatment, patient mobility, sustainability of the European healthcare
systems, biosimilar medicinal products and research on innovative
treatments. At the same time, the EPF is on the alert to identify all
new EU legislation that could affect patients across Europe. EPF also
provides support to patient groups from the new EU Member States
through education, empowerment and training.
